[ DECS ORDER NO. 43, s. 1993, June 16, 1993 ]
EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CONTRACTING AND TUITION FEE SUPPLEMENT AT THE SECONDARY LEVEL FOR SY 1993-1994
1. R.A. No. 6728 entitled "An Act Providing Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education and Appropriating Funds Therefor" has two component programs which are being implemented at the secondary level: Educational Service Contracting (ESC) and Tuition Fee Supplement (TFS).
2. The provisions stated in DECS Order No. 67, s. 1992 which include the implementing guidelines for ESC and TFS shall also be applicable for SY 1993-1994, except those contained in paragraphs 5 and 6 of Features of the Program which pertain to the rate of payment to be given to an ESC grantee and amount of tuition fee ceiling, respectively.
3. Effective SY 1993-1994, ESC payment per student-grantee shall be at the rate prescribed for other students but not to exceed one thousand five hundred pesos (P1,500.00) as approved by the State Assistance Council (SAC).
4. For SY 1993-1994, the requested increase in tuition fee ceiling has been approved by SAC as any amount less than P1,900 including subsidy for SY 1992-1993. However, the amount of tuition fee subsidy per student-beneficiary shall remain two hundred ninety pesos (P290.00).
5. The cut-off dates for submission of reports for ESC and TFS using the prescribed forms shall be the same as stated in DECS Order No. 67, s. 1992.
6. All previous regulations/provisions that run counter to those stated in this Order are hereby revoked.
7. This Order should be immediately disseminated to all concerned.
