[ PHILHEALTH CIRCULAR NO. 54, S. 1999, May 20, 1999 ]
IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES OF PHILHEALTH CIRCULAR 52, S. 1999
To ensure the smooth implementation of PhilHealth Circular 52 s. 1999, the following guidelines are being issued for your reference:

- The new Medicare benefits may be availed of by members discharged from any of PhilHealth's accredited hospitals nationwide from May 1, 1999 onwards.
- Members who were discharged from May 1 but were not able to avail of the new benefit schedules may file for reimbursement of the difference between what he was able to avail himself of and the new benefit amounts.
- Members requesting for reimbursement need to fill out the attached form (Annex A*), attach the official receipts and submit it to the PhilHealth Office where the original claim was filed and paid for.
- All reimbursements for adjustment will be made to the member.
- Request for adjustment for this purpose will be entertained until December 31, 1999 only.
