AIRCRAFTS AUTHORIZED TO OPERATE DAY IFR FLIGHT/CONDITIONS



Effective immediately, single engine aircraft with a cruising speed of 120 mph and above with complete and operational/functioning navigation, communication and instruments as required in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), RAC 1-4 Section 1 to 1.1 and Administrative Order No. 3 Section 1.19.4 are authorized to operate DAY IFR flights under the following conditions.

1. The pilot must be fully qualified instrument rated.

2. The aircraft must be equipped with radar and an additional crew is required if the aircraft is used for passenger operation.

3. If the aircraft is used for cargo operation a radar is not required and only one pilot fully qualified is necessary.

4. Pilots must pass an ATO checkride.

All orders and memoranda that are in conflict herewith are hereby rescinded.
