(NAR) VOL. 16 NO. 4 / OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2005

[ PHILPOST ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 05-10, July 15, 2005 ]

PRESCRIBED RATES FOR THE NEW PACKAGING SERVICE

Among the various products and services that are being offered by the Corporation, the Parcel Service is considered one of the highest in terms of potential of giving the postal service more revenues.

Hence, the Corporation has set its sight toward the development of the Parcel Post. The introduction of the Philpost Pak Boxes has paved the way for the availability of these packaging materials for those customers who wish to send goods or merchandise both locally and internationally.

In view thereof, the following rates are hereby prescribed for the new postal service to be called Packaging Service, to wit:

Boxes 1 and 2 (Large and Extra Large) ___________ P 30.00
Boxes 3 and 4 (Medium Size) ____________________ 20.00
Boxes 5 and 6 (Small and Extra Small) _____________ 10.00

Extra charges of not more than P200.00 shall be collected for this service if additional materials such as Styrofoam, bubble wraps and other materials are to be used to secure the contents of the parcel. The above rates shall be collected separately from payments made for the boxes. The Post Shop is likewise directed to issue the corresponding official receipt for this transaction.

At the Manila Central Post Office, the Packaging Service shall be exclusively done at the Post Shop.

For compliance.
