CONNECTIVITY OF THE INSURANCE COMMISSION’S COC GATEWAY TO THE CERTIFICATE OF COVER VERIFICATION FACILITY
Reference is made to the letter of Insurance Commissioner, Hon. Santiago Javier Ranada dated June 23, 2010, providing advise on the establishment of connectivity between Insurance Commission’s (IC) COC Gateway (ICG) and the Certificate of Cover Verification Facility (COCVF) of the LTO IT System effective June 25, 2010. Accordingly, this Office hereby promulgate that the COCVF System A shall no longer be available for connected insurance companies while the Certificate of Cover Authentication Facility (COCAF) of the Philippine Insurers and Reinsurers Association (PIRA) be provided direct access only until July 5, 2010, at which time only CTPL policies directly received from the IC shall be accepted for processing of registration transactions.
Further, no changes on the Motor Vehicle Registration System (MVRS) have been implemented that shall merit new procedures in the processing of new and renewal registration.
