PAYMENT OF WHARFAGE DUES FOR RICE SHIPMENTS
In order to forestall any attempts for smuggling of rice and sugar, you are directed not to accept advanced payments for wharfage dues on rice and sugar shipments, whether for loading or for discharging of subject cargoes.
Assessment and collection of wharfage dues for rice and sugar shipments shall be done only when the vessel, carrying the rice or sugar shipment for discharging or intended to be loaded with the rice or sugar shipment, has actually arrived and berthed at the Port of General Santos for the purpose.
