[ TESDA RESOLUTION NO. 2010-04, April 08, 2010 ]

APPROVING AND PROMULGATING THE TRAINING REGULATIONS FOR MICROFINANCE TECHNOLOGY NCII



WHEREAS, Section 14(b) of Republic Act No. 7796 mandates that TESDA shall develop and establish a national system of skills standardization, testing and certification and conduct research and development on various occupational areas in order to recommend policies, rules and regulations to effective and efficient skills standardization, testing and certification system in the country;

WHEREAS, the lead industry partners, have endorsed for approval the Training Regulations for Microfinance Technology NC II;

WHEREAS, during the 40th and 42nd Standards-Setting and Systems Development (SSSD) TESDA Board and TESDA Secretariat Consultation Meetings on 11 May 2009 and 21 December 2009, respectively, the aforementioned Training Regulations were deliberated and favorably recommended to the EXCOM-TESDA Board for consideration;

WHEREAS, in the 71st EXCOM-TESDA Board Meeting on 11 March 2010 at 1:00 p.m., the Standards-Setting and Systems Development (SSSD) Committee agreed to recommend for approval the aforesaid Training Regulations for Microfinance Technology NCII*;

WHEREAS, in the 74th TESDA Board Meeting on 8 April 2010 at 3:00 pm., the TESDA Board considered and approved the Training Regulations for Microfinance Technology NCII;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the TESDA Board in its meeting today, 8 April 2010 at 3:00 p.m. approves the aforementioned Training Regulations for Microfinance Technology NCII*;

BE IT RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution and Training Regulations be published and disseminated to all concerned, and the same shall be effective fifteen (15) days upon its publication. All programs registered these training regulations must comply with the requirements of the aforementioned training regulations. Graduates of TVET courses covered by the aforementioned training regulations shall be required to undergo mandatory assessment under the national assessment and certification program.
