(NAR) VOL. 17 NO. 1 / JANUARY - MARCH 2006

[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2006-009, February 01, 2006 ]

MODIFICATIONS TO MC 2002-003, RE: YEARLY ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND STICKER FOR PUBLIC UTILITY VEHICLES

On April 2, 2002, the Board issued MC 2002-2003 to effectively monitor which among those units that were given authority by the Board to operate as for-hire service have actually been duly registered with the Land Transportation Office. The Board is now adopting an innovation in the implementation of the same. Starting 01 March 2006, instead of the Certificate of Public Convenience and Sticker to be secured yearly by the grantees of Certificate/s of Public Convenience, the Board shall now issue a Reverse Adhesive certificate of Public Convenience (CPC) Sticker incorporating therein at the front the type of denomination authorized and the signatures of the Chairperson and the Board Members with five (5) blank spaces, representing every year of registration in the five year span of the CPC.

The said sticker shall cost P350.00, and the reverse adhesive hologram that shall be posted in the blank spaces every year of registration to be secured annually in the five (5) year span shall amount to P25.00.

The sticker shall be posted by LTFRB authorized personnel upon presentation of unit/s during confirmation.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith, and takes effect immediately.

SO ORDERED.

Adopted: 01 February 2006
