[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2006-008, February 01, 2006 ]

FINAL EXTENSION OF DEADLINE PRESCRIBED UNDER MC 2005-035, RE: EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF VALIDITY OF EXPIRED FRANCHISES WITH MODIFICATION



In order to give ample time to grantee/s of Certificate/s of Public Convenience with expired franchises to file an Application/Petition for Extension of Validity, the Board hereby extends the period of late filing of expired Certificates of Public Convenience to December 31, 2006, subject to the same terms and conditions stated under MC 2005-035, dated October 7, 2005 and 2005-036, Re: CLARIFICATORY MEMORANDUM, October 24, 2005 which are as follows:

1. Only PUJ, PUB, Taxi Services with Sedan Type Units, Metered Taxi, Shuttle and School Services with AUV type units;

2. Only CPC which expired from 01 January 2005 up to the end of implementation of this Memorandum Circular are allowed for acceptance;

3. The regular penalty for late filing in the amount of Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500.00) per unit and per month shall be charged;

4. In addition to the regular penalty abovementioned, the following penalties shall also be imposed regardless of the number of months of expiration:

 

PUJ Service
  Five Thousand Pesos (Php 5,000.00) per unit

 

Taxi/Metered TAXI/ School/Shuttle Service
  Seven Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP 7,500.00) per unit

 

PUB Service
  Fifteen Thousand pesos (PhP 15,000.00) per unit

Operators who are covered by this Circular and who may want to avail of this privilege are given until December 31, 2006 to file their Petitions/Applications.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith, and takes effect immediately.
