LIFTING ON MORATORIUM FOR DROPPING AND SUBSTITUTION



After series of consultation meetings and public hearings with Metro Manila Public Utility Bus operators, and finding merits on their concerns, the Board, in line with the modernization program of the DOTC and LTFRB resolved to lift the moratorium on dropping and substitution as per MC 2005-055, dated December 6, 2005 on the condition that substitute units are brand new, not refurbished, rebuilt or remanufactured.

The Receiving Section of Technical Evaluation Division is hereby directed to accept filing for Dropping and substitution of Units, after compliance with the requirement for filing the said petition/application.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith, and takes effect immediately.
