(NAR) VOL. 21 NO.3 JULY - SEPTEMBER 2010

[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2010-032, August 20, 2010 ]

SUPPLEMENT TO MC 2010-027, RE: APPLICATIONS FOR EXTENSION OF VALIDITY OF EXPIRED CERTIFICATES OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE

On May 25, 2010, this Board has issued Memorandum Circular 2010-027, wherein CPCs, except Metro Manila Bus Operations, which expired within ONE (1) year after the date of the expiration was allowed to be accepted for filing subject to the terms and conditions as provided therein.

In supplement thereto, and due to increasing demand for transport services arising from the growth in trading and investments, and to fully support the socio-economic development plans of both the national government and local government units, this Board hereby exempts Truck for Hire Services and Shuttle Bus Services from the ONE (1) year expiration limit, and allows holders thereof to file application for extension of expired CPC even beyond the said period, provided however, that penalties and other charges mentioned for under MC 2010-027 shall be imposed and paid. Provided further, that all conditions cited therein shall be properly complied with.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes and amends all issuances inconsistent herewith and shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation and filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11 dated 9 October 1992.
