EXPANSION OF PHILHEALTH COVERAGE OF P100 DRUGS AND MEDICINES TO ALL PHILHEALTH MEMBERS AND DEPENDENTS



Pursuant to PhilHealth Board Resolution No. 1381 series of 2010, the Corporation shall expand the coverage and reimbursement of P100 Drugs and Medicines from eligible Sponsored Members to all eligible PhilHealth members and their qualified dependents.

1. The General rules shall be consistent with PhilHealth Circular No. 20 s-2009 (Coverage for P100 Drugs and Medicines for Eligible Sponsored Members), however, it shall now cover all PhilHealth members and their qualified dependents.
2. The benefit shall still cover P100 drugs and medicines given/prescribed, as applicable, during confinement and extra packs necessary as take home medicines. Reimbursement, however, shall not exceed the benefit ceiling for drugs and medicines and shall be limited to hospital confinements.
3. The current eligibility rules per member category shall apply.
4. The Claims availment rules shall be consistent with PhilHealth Circular No. 20 s-2009. Official receipts for P100 drugs purchased from any P100 DOH authorized outlets/sources outside the hospital/facility confinement should be attached to the claim application.

This Circular shall take effect 15 days from publication to any newspaper of general circulation or to the official gazette.

All other provisions consistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect.
