DFA TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR FILIPINO WOMEN TRAVELLING TO AFRICA AND WEST ASIA
Per the Consular Travel Advisory issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Filipino women who intend to travel and seek employment in Africa and West Asia are advised that there are NO EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES in these areas. Travel is considered highly risky in Cyprus, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and other areas in Africa and West Asia where incidents of labor abuse, trafficking of women and prostitution have been reported.
