[ PRC BOARD OF ARCHITECTURE BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 04, S. 2005, December 06, 2005 ]

ADOPTION OF THE LOGBOOK OF DIVERSIFIED ARCHITECTURAL EXPERIENCE, A DOCUMENT FORMULATED BY THE UNITED ARCHITECTS OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC. (UAP) THE INTEGRATED ACCREDITED PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION OF ARCHITECTS (IAPOA)



WHEREAS, Sec. 13 (c), Art. III of R.A. No. 9266, known as “The Architecture Act of 2004”, states in part, to wit:

 

SEC. 13. Qualifications of Applicant for Examination. – Any person applying for examination shall establish to the satisfaction of the Board that:

( c) He/she is a holder of a degree in Bachelor of Science in Architecture x x x and in addition has a specific record of at least two (2) years or equivalent of diversified architectural experience duly certified by a registered/licensed architect x x x x”;

WHEREAS, in support of the afore-quoted requirement, the applicant has to submit the following documents:

Accomplished Diversified Training (DT forms 001 and 002), Architect-Mentor Affidavit, Photocopy of Architect Mentors valid Professional Identification Card, Professional Tax Receipt and IAPOA number (docs: 5, 6, 7 & 8) under Sec. 13, Rule III of Board Res. No. 07, Series of 2004, the “IRR of the Architecture Act of 2004”;

WHEREAS, “Diversified Architectural Experience” is defined as “a post-bacca- laureate, pre-license experience of two (2) years required of a graduate of architecture prior to taking the licensure examination [;] consisting of a variation of experience in the different phases of architectural services”. (Sec. 3 (29), rule I of Supra Board Resolution);

WHEREAS, the Board requested on October 5, 2005 the UAP, the Integrated Accredited Professional Organization of Architects (IAPOA), to formulate the Logbook of Diversified Architectural Experience pursuant to the provisions of R.A. No. 9266 and Board Res. No. 07, Series of 2004;

WHEREAS, the UAP on October 11, 2005 forwarded to the Board copies of the said Logbook with other appurtenant forms and Guidelines for Filling-Up the Logbook; and

WHEREAS, the Board decided to adopt it after introducing some constructive improvements thereon;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board resolves, as it is hereby resolved, to adopt, issue, and promulgate the Logbook of Diversified Architectural Experience, a document formulated by the United Architects of the Philippines, Inc. (UAP) for use by the applicants for the Licensure Examination for Architects in compliance with Sec. 13 (c), Art. III of R.A. No. 9266, known as “The Architectural Act of 2004”, and Board Resolution No. 07, Series of 2004, known as the “IRR of the Architecture Act of 2004” (the said Logbook shall be annexed to the hereunto Resolution as an integral part hereof).

FURTHER RESOLVED, the said Logbook shall be required for submission in support of the application for the Licensure Examination for Architects starting in the Schedule for April 2006.

This Resolution shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its full and complete publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines.

Let copy hereof be furnished to the Chief/OIC, PRC Application Division, the UAP, the PRC Regional Directors and CODHASP for dissemination to all concerned.
