[ PRC BOARD OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING RESOLUTION NO. 02, S. 2005, November 11, 2005 ]

REVISING THE SYLLABI OF THE SUBJECTS IN THE LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNERS



WHEREAS, Section 9 (h) of RA No. 8981, known as the “PRC Modernization Act of 2000”, provides, to wit: “(h) to prepare, adopt and issue the syllabi or tables of specifications of the subjects for examinations in consultation with the academe x x x x”;

WHEREAS, on 10 May 2000, the Board of Environmental Planning issued Board Resolution No. 01, Series of 2000, adopting a set of syllabi which was a revision of Board Resolution No. 04, Series of 1994, dated 02 September 1994, for the subjects in the licensure examination for Environmental Planners;

WHEREAS, since the adoption of the said syllabi, changes in the teaching and practice of Environmental Planning have progressively evolved;

WHEREAS, there is a need to reflect the latest trends in the practice of the profession by revising the general topics and subtopics where such changes are appropriate; and

WHEREAS, the Board, in coordination with the academe and the Philippine Institute of Environment Planners (PIEP), Inc., drafted and adopted the proposed revision of the syllabi after a series of consultative meetings;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Board resolves, as it is hereby resolved, to adopt, promulgate, and issue the document denominated as “2005 Revised Syllabi for the Environmental Planner Licensure Examination” marked as annex “A”* and made an integral part of this Resolution.

The herein new syllabi shall be used in the licensure examination starting in 2006.

This Resolution shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its full and complete publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines.

Let copy hereof be furnished to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for dissemination to schools, colleges, or universities offering the course of environmental planning.
