[ POEA ADVISORY NO. 12, S. 2013, October 21, 2013 ]
CLARIFICATION CONCERNING THE B/2 VISAS ISSUED TO FILIPINO CAREGIVERS WHO HAVE REACHED THE MAXIMUM PERIOD OF STAY OF 51 MONTHS IN ISRAEL
The Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA) of the State of Israel issued an official clarification to the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv concerning the “B/2 visas” issued to some Filipino caregivers who have reached the maximum period of stay of 51 months in Israel.
The PIBA clarified that foreign caregivers issued B/2 “inter-visa” permit will be allowed to reenter Israel within the dates set out in the visa issued for their continued employment. The caregivers may remain in Israel during the pendency of the applications of special requests filed with the Israel's Ministry of Interior by their elderly or handicapped employers in their behalf. Should the Minister decide to reject the special requests, the foreign caregivers will be asked to leave Israel after a 30 to 60 day period.
For information and guidance.
