EXTENSION OF SUSPENSION OF IMPLEMENTATION OF OUT-OF- LINE OPERATION FOR PROVINCIAL PUBLIC UTILITY BUSES WITH PENDING APPLICATIONS FOR MODIFICATION AND DIRECTIVE TO SUBMIT PROOF OF PUBLIC DEMAND

Adopted: 13 March 2015
Date Filed: 18 March 2015

Pending disposition of the Applications for Modification pursuant to our Bus Rationalization Program, applicant-operators were directed to submit proof of public demand on their proposed modified routes. The list of applicant-operators with directives to submit proof of public demand is attached hereto as Annex “A”[*] and is an integral part of this Circular.

To give them sufficient time to comply with the directive, the Board hereby extends the effectivity of Memorandum Circular No. 2014-009 up to and until April 30, 2015, but only for applicant-operators per Annex “A.”

Starting March 16, 2015, all public utility bus operators, who are not covered by the above directive, shall strictly comply with the route granted to them.

It is reiterated that Metro Manila is still excluded in the coverage of suspension of implementation of out-of-line operation in consonance with MC No. 2014-016.

All other issuances or parts thereof inconsistent herewith are hereby modified, amended or superseded accordingly.

This Memorandum shall take effect immediately after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation. Let three (3) copies hereof be filed with the UP Law Center pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11 dated October 9, 1992.
