[ SRA SUGAR ORDER NO. 7, S. 2012-2013, March 21, 2013 ]

ISSUANCE OF SHIPPING PERMIT FOR “A” EXPORT SUGAR, “D” WORLD MARKET SUGAR AND IMPORTED/AUCTIONED SUGAR



WHEREAS, Section 3, of Sugar Order No. 12, Series of 1987-1988 exempted “A” export sugar and/or “D” world market sugar from the issuance of a shipping permit for movement/shipment from warehouses of sugar centrals/mill companies to a bulk terminal in another island for the purpose of shipping the same thru the terminal to the United States and/or the world market;

WHEREAS, it has become imperative to require the issuance of a shipping permit prior to the movement/shipment of “A” export sugar and/or “D” world market sugar from the warehouses of sugar centrals/mill companies to a bulk terminal in another island and imported/auctioned sugar from one island to another within the territorial jurisdiction of the Republic of the Philippines, for the purpose of monitoring movement of all sugar in the country and avert any attempt to divert sugar to other destinations other than its authorized use;

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), it is hereby ordered that:

Section 1. All movement/shipment of “A” export sugar and/or “D” world market sugar from the warehouses of sugar centrals/mill companies to a bulk terminal in another island and imported/auctioned sugar from one island to another within the territorial, jurisdiction of the Republic of the Philippines shall be required to apply for a shipping permit issued by the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA).

Section 2. A shipping permit fee of PhP200.00 shall be charged per application, the quantity applied for shall not exceed the volume covered by the Certificate of Clearance for In-loading.

Section 3. The Certificate of Clearance for In-loading shall form part of the requirements in the application for the issuance of shipping permit for this purpose and the Certificate of Clearance for Release of Imported/Auctioned sugar shall be required for imported/auctioned sugar.

Section 4. This Sugar Order shall take effect immediately.

Section 5. Provisions of Sugar Orders, Circular Letters, rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with this Sugar Order are hereby revised, modified or revoked accordingly.
