[ CAAP MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 02-14, January 10, 2014 ]

MANDATING ALL ORGANIZATIONS OR INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS OF SHIPPING DANGEROUS GOODS BY AIR TO SECURE THE NECESSARY ACCREDITATION FROM CAAP



In the interest of public safety, pursuant to R.A. 9497 and PCAR Part 18, and in compliance to the ICAO Technical Instructions, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) mandates all organizations or individuals involved in the process of shipping Dangerous Goods by Air to secure the necessary accreditation from CAAP before dealing or transacting with the AOCs authorized to carry Dangerous Goods.

CAAP shall take the necessary measures, as it may deem appropriate, to achieve compliance to its regulations, including continuous inspections for compliance and enforcement, as well as the prescription of appropriate penalties for violations.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect on 01 June 2014 after compliance with the single publication in a newspaper of general circulation and a copy filed with the UP Law Center-Office of the Administrative Register (ONAR), UP Diliman, Quezon City.
