AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 8362, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING BIRTHDAY GIFTS TO ALL SENIOR CITIZENS OF MANILA", AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

Be it ordained by the City Council of Manila, in session assembled, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 8362 is hereby amended to increase the value of the Birthday Gift entitled to the senior citizens of the City of Manila, to read as follows:
"SEC. 3. BIRTHDAY GIFT. – All Senior Citizens or elderly shall be granted a yearly Birthday Gift, in the amount of Five Hundred Pesos (PhP. 500.00), to be given in cash or in kind or a combination thereof."
SEC. 2. Budget. – The necessary budget for the proper implementation of this Ordinance shall be incorporated in the Executive Budget for Fiscal Year 2016, and every year thereafter.
SEC. 3. Separability Clause. – If any part or provision of this Ordinance is held or declared invalid or unconstitutional, the other provisions not affected thereby shall remain in full force and effect.
SEC. 4. Repealing Clause. – All other local laws, decrees, orders, issuances, rules and regulations which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.
SEC. 5. Effectivity Clause. – The additional benefits granted under this Ordinance shall take effect and will be distributed starting on January 1, 2016.
This Ordinance was finally enacted by the City Council of Manila on December 10, 2015.
