RULES OF PROCEDURE IN ADMINISTRATIVE INVESTIGATION



WHEREAS, on January 11, 1994, the President of the Philippines issued Executive Order No. 151 creating the Presidential Commission Against Graft and Corruption;

WHEREAS, one of the primary functions of the Commission is to investigate presidential appointees in the executive department charged with graft and corruption;

WHEREAS, since its organization on February 1, 1994 many cases involving graft and corruption have been filed with the Commission for administrative adjudication;

WHEREAS, the Commission has adopted its own Rules of Procedure in the conduct of administrative investigation, but said Rules have yet to be published in three (3) newspapers of general circulation.

WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that, pending publication of its Rules of Procedure in three (3) newspapers of general circulation, the Commission shall, in the meantime, adopt the Civil Service Commission Rules of Procedure in administrative investigation embodied in CSC MC-46 Series of 1989, as amended by CSC Res. No. 91-0521, including the penalties prescribed therein, and in a suppletory character, the new Rules of Court promulgated by the Supreme Court of the Philippines.

SO RESOLVED.
