[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 52, October 07, 1991 ]

ACCREDITATION OF TAIWANESE PRINCIPALS/EMPLOYERS



In view of the practice of overseas contract workers for Taiwan being issued resident visas and to accommodate job order requests from Taiwanese employers pending formal issuance of working visas by the Taiwanese government, POEA shall consider RESIDENT VISAS issued by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines (TECOP) for accreditation purposes.

Documentary requirements for the accreditation of projects for Taiwan shall be as follows:

1. Special Power of Attorney (verified/authenticated by the Manila Economic and Cultural Office [MECO] in Taiwan

2. Employment Contract

3. Commercial License of Taiwan Employer (verified/authenticated by MECO)

4. Resident visa or visa certification

No name hire shall be allowed for Taiwan except for cases deemed necessary by the Administration.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
