MODIFICATIONS ON MC 2006-077 RE PETITION FOR CHANGE OF ENGINE

On December 29, 2006, this Board issued Memorandum Circular 2006-077 entitled Re: AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2004-025, RE: PETITION FOR CHANGE ENGINE wherein this Board amended Memorandum Circular 2004-025, and provided new process and guidelines for change of engine.

To further streamline the Board’s business processes that will reduce the volume of transactions, approval by the Board of Petition for Change of Engine shall be dispensed with.

In lieu of the said approval, all grantees of CPCs shall be required to submit a NOTICE OF CHANGE OF ENGINE at the Information Systems and Management Division of this Board or the Regional Office concerned for data encoding of the new engine supported by the following:

  1. Affidavit of Change Engine executed by the President (in case of corporation, cooperative or partnership) or the registered operator (in case of individual operator); and
  2. Certified True Copy of Stock Certificate/ Dealer’s Report issued by the Land Transportation Office, in case of a new and previously unregistered engine. Otherwise, OR/CR of the source of the engine.

A sample form of the Notice of Change of Engine is attached hereto as Annex “A”* and made an integral part hereof.

Upon submission of Notice of Change of Engine, the office concerned shall issue the Certificate of Change Engine.

All other issuances or parts thereof inconsistent herewith are, hereby modified, amended, or superseded accordingly.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation and the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11, dated 09 October 1 992.
