APPLICATION OF LICENSE FEES TO APPLICANTS FOR AUTHORITY TO CONTINUE ONGOING PROJECTS

WHEREAS, there are contractors who are no longer eligible for the renewal of the regular license due to excessive capital erosion or whose license has been suspended, revoked, cancelled or otherwise not renewed and have ongoing projects procured during the validity of their license;

WHEREAS, upon application of the concerned contractors, PCAB issues an Authority to Continue Ongoing Projects to allow them to prosecute said projects legally and so as not to prejudice project owners;

WHEREAS, the authority to continue is similar to and operates like a contractor’s license; and

WHEREAS, all licenses are subject to corresponding fees and assessments.

NOW, THEREFORE, based on the foregoing premises the Board RESOLVED to apply the licensing fees to all applications for Authority to Continue Ongoing Projects based on the contractor’s Category and Classification prior to non-renewal, suspension, revocation or cancellation of its license.

This Resolution shall take effect after a period of fifteen (15) days from publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
