REVOCATION OF CUSTOMS MEMORANDUM ORDER (CMO) NO. 29-2017 AND AMENDMENT TO CMO NO. 14-2017 ON AUTHORIZATION TO ISSUE ALERT ORDERS

Pursuant to Section 1111 of Republic Act No. 10863, otherwise known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, in relation to the authority to issue Alert Orders as authorized by the Commissioner of Customs, the following Customs Officials are hereby authorized to issue Alert Orders:
  1. Customs Commissioner or his authorized representative; and
  2. All District Collectors, for shipments arriving within their District.
CMO No. 29-2017 is deemed revoked, while all other provisions of CMO No. 14-
2017 which are not in conflict or inconsistent  with this CMO shall remain valid and in effect.

Further, the provisions of CMO 20-2017 and CMO 35-2015 on the procedures for issuance and lifting of Alert Orders which are not in conflict with this CMO and which have not been previously revoked shall remain effective.

Any other orders, rules or regulations inconsistent with this CMO are hereby repealed or amended accordingly.
