NTA’S INCREASE IN LICENSE/PERMIT FEES EFFECTIVE CALENDAR YEAR 2018

WHEREAS,  the National  Tobacco  Administration  (NTA), pursuant  to Executive Order No. 245, has issued the Amended Rules and Regulations (RR) Governing Trading of Locally Grown Tobacco Leaf;

WHEREAS,  the NTA has revised the License/Permit  fees for the aforesaid RRs through Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 002, Series 2014;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Administrative  Order No. 31, Series of 2012, which authorizes  all  government  agencies  to  revise  their  License/Permit  Fees  to  at least recover the actual cost of services rendered, there is a need to revise the present fees assessed by the NTA.

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises and by  virtue   of  the   powers   conferred   into   the   NTA,   starting   CY   2018,   the License/Permit fees shall be increased, as follows;

Section 1. The License fees as provided in Rule 1, Regulation III {Buying Station (BS) and Field Canvassers (FCs)} of the 2017 Amended RR Governing Trading and Redrying of Locally Grown Leaf Tobacco are amended, as follows;

In addition to the above fees, the BS shall likewise pay for the Certificate of Authority (COA) for its duly designated  Field Canvassers  (FCs) at the following rate;

Section 2. The Permit and Authority To Purchase as provided in Rule 1, Regulation  IX  (WTDs)  and  Rule  1,  Regulation  X  (RPs)  are  hereby  read  as follows:

Section 3. Effectivity and Miscellaneous Provision. This Memorandum Circular shall take effect on 01 January 2018 and shall be filed with the Office of the Administrative Registrar (ONAR).
