AN ACT CONVERTING THE SAN JACINTO HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN JACINTO, PROVINCE OF MASBATE, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE SAN JACINTO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Batasang Pambansa in session assembled:

SECTION 1. The San Jacinto High School in the Municipality of San Jacinto, Province of Masbate, is converted into a national high school, to be known as the San Jacinto National High School.

SEC. 2. The high school curriculum which includes academic, industrial arts, ceramics, electricity, handicraft and other allied courses shall be offered.

SEC. 3. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports shall reorganize the said school accordingly.

SEC. 4. Upon the organization of the new school, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the old school shall be transferred to the new school.

SEC. 5. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 and Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national schools: Provided That the local government unit concerned shall continue to provide funding for its share in the cost of maintenance and operation of the school. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 6. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
