AN ACT CONVERTING THE HAGONOY MUNICIPAL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF HAGONOY, PROVINCE OF DAVAO DEL SUE, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE HAGONOY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.

Be it enacted by the Batasang Pambansa in session assembled:

SECTION 1. The Hagonoy Municipal High School in the Municipality of Hagonoy, Province of Davao del Sur, is hereby converted into a national high school, to be known as the Hagonoy National High School.

SEC. 2. The Hagonoy National High School shall offer a school curriculum which shall include academic, industrial arts, ceramics, electricity, handicrafts and other allied courses. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby empowered to reorganize the Hagonoy Municipal High School accordingly.

SEC. 3. Upon the reorganization of the new school, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the Hagonoy Municipal High School shall be transferred to the Hagonoy National High School.

SEC. 4. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Bilang 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools and an additional amount corresponding to fifty percent of its share in the budgetary aid actually paid to it before such conversion shall be released for its operation from the national assistance fund to local schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Hagonoy National High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
