AN ACT CONVERTING THE OCCIDENTAL MINDORO HIGH SCHOOL IN MAMBURAO, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE OCCIDENTAL MINDORO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL.

Be it enacted by the Batasang Pambansa in session assembled:

SECTION 1. The Occidental Mindoro High School in Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro, is hereby converted into a national high, school to foe known as the Occidental Mindoro National High School. Said school shall offer a curriculum which includes both academic and vocational courses. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby empowered to organize said school accordingly.

Upon the organization of the Occidental Mindoro National High School, the assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of the Occidental Mindoro High School in Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro, shall be transferred to the Occidental Mindoro National High School.

SEC. 2. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports shall implement the provisions of this Act so as to make the Occidental Mindoro National High School in operation on the first school term after the effectivity of this Act.

SEC. 3. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools and an additional amount corresponding to fifty percent of its share in the budgetary aid actually paid to it before such conversion shall be released for its operation from the national assistance fund to local schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
