[ PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 774, August 22, 1975 ]

ASSIGNING, TRANSFERRING AND CONVEYING IN FEE SIMPLE TO THE CULTURAL CENTER OF THE PHILIPPINES CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OF THE PUBLIC DOMAIN SITUATED IN THE CITY OF PASAY.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 15 dated October 5, 1972, a body corporate known as the Cultural Center of the Philippines, hereinafter referred to as the Center, has been created for certain purposes, among which is "to construct, establish and maintain in a single site a national threatre, a national music hall, an art gallery and such other buildings and facilities as are necessary or desirable for the holding of conferences, seminars, concerts and the like";

WHEREAS, to carry out these purposes, there has been granted to the Center pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 15 certain parcels of land of the public domain situated in the Cities of Pasay and Manila, titles to which have already been issued in favor of the Center;

WHEREAS, it has since become increasingly necessary and desirable that additional areas be conveyed and titled to the Center in order that it could effectively and fully carry the purposes and objectives for which it has been created; and

WHEREAS, another parcel of land situated in the City of Pasay and adjacent to the area granted to the Center under Presidential Decree No. 15 has already been surveyed as a conference center site;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution do hereby decree and assign, transfer and convey to the Center in fee simple certain parcels of land of the public domain situated in the City of Pasay, which are more particularly described as follows:

Swo-04-000078 A parcel of land (as shown on plan Swo-04-000078, L.R.C. Record No.___ ), situated in the City of Pasay, Island of Luzon. Bounded on the NW., along line 1-2 toy Lot 2-B (Bsd-04-000009), Cultural Center of the Philippines; on the NE., along line 2-3 by Public Land (Reclaimed Area); on the SE., along line 3-4 by Public Land (Reclaimed Area); on the SW., along line 4-5 by Public Land (Reclaimed Area); and on the NW., along line 5-6 by Lot 2-A; and along line 6-1 by Lot 2-B, both on (Bsd-04-000009), Cultural Center of the Philippines. Beginning at a point marked "1" on plan, being S. 61-42 W., 951.12 m. from C.B.M. No. 2, Cad-13, Manila Cadastre,
thence No. 60 deg. 27'E., 229,99 m. to point 2;
thence S. 29 deg. 33'E., 280.00 m. to point 3;
thence S. 60 deg. 27'W., 374.00 m. to point 4;
thence S. 29 deg. 39'W., 280.01 m. to point 5;
thence N. 60 deg. 27'E., 48.28 m. to point 6;
thence N. 60 deg. 27'E., 35.71 m. to point of beginning. Containing an area of one hundred four thousand seven hundred and seventeen (104,717) square meters. All points referred to are indicated on the plan and are marked on the ground as follows: Points 2 and 5 by X on Cone, pavement; Point 6 by Old C.C.P. conc. mon. 15xl5xl.00m. long; Point 1 by Old G.I. pipe 3x4x2m. long; bearings true; date of survey November 19-22, 1974 and was approved on November 26, 1974.

S. 75-17 W., 348.33 m. to point 4;
N. 26-26 W., 359.17 m. to point 5;
N. 60-27 E., 261.97 m. to point 6;
S. 29-11 E., 256.74 m. to point 7;
N. 60-49 E., 389.51 m. to point 8;
N. 29-11 W., 256.74 m. to point 9;
N. 60-27 E.. 409.24 m. to point 10;

Containing an area of four hundred thousand (400,000) square meters.

All points referred to are indicated on the plan and marked on the ground as follows; Point 1 & 4 by Old X marked on Conc. Sea walls; Point 2 & 3 by Old P.S. Cyl.. Conc.. Mons.; Points 6, 7, 8 & 9 by Old G.L. pipes 3x4x2m. long; and the rest by "X" marked on Conc. Seawalls.

Bounded on the SE., along lines 1-2-3-4 by Republic of the Philippines (Dept. of Public Highways, RL-04-000001); on the SW., along line 4-5 by Manila Bay; on the NW., along line 5-6 by Manila Bay and Lot 2-A, Bsd-04-000009); on the N., along lines 6-7-8-9 by Manila International Conference Center (Swo-04-000078-Amd.); on the NW., along line 9-10 by Existing Road; and on the NE., along lines 10-11-1 by Roxas Boulevard.

Bearings true.

This survey was executed in accordance with law and existing regulations promulgated thereunder, by Proceso M. Calpo, Geodetic Engineer, on August 6, 1975 and approved on August 7, 1975.

The lands herein granted as well as all improvements thereon and all other properties of the Center shall, after payment of obligations, revert to the Government of the Philippines when and if the Center ceases to exist.

This decree shall take effect immediately.
