GRANTING PHILIPPINE CITIZENSHIP TO MSGR. PETER TSAO S.V.D., REV. CHARLES TCHOU. REV. JOSEPH TIEN MIN YAO, REV. BARTHOLOMEW SAN HUA LUNG, REV. PETER WANG, REV. JOHN KWO, REV. PAUL HAN SHOU LI, REV. JOHN BERCH. LI (WEN-SHENG), REV. PAUL LITIELIANG, REV. JOSEPH LI MING CHIN, MSGR. JOSEPH PAO CHIE FUNG, REV. THOMAS CHAO, REV. CHAO YUN LI, REV. JOSEPH CHEN, REV. ESTANISLAO CHU, REV. STANISLAUS CHIN, REV. PETER KING O.M.I., REV. CHANG CHI CHUNG, REV. CHIN LIAN WANG, REV. JOHN HO S.J., REV. PAUL WANG.

WHEREAS, the following citizens of the Republic of China:

have long and faithfully served the Filipino people as Catholic missionaries and have proven themselves worthy of the rights, privileges and prerogatives of citizens of this country;

WHEREAS, since their arrival in the Philippines they have decided to make the country their permanent home to which they shall forever pledge and hold their loyalty, obedience and allegiance; and

WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Immigration and Deportation has strongly recommended the grant of Philippine citizenship to them;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby grant Philippine citizenship with all the rights, privileges and prerogatives appurtenant thereto to the following:

This Decree is made part of the law of the land and shall take effect immediately.
