[ ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 88, March 06, 1939 ]

CREATING A COMMITTEE TO PASS UPON THE QUALIFICATIONS OF FOREIGN PHYSICIANS, CONSIDERED AS EXPERTS, WHO DESIRE TO PRACTICE MEDICINE IN THE PHILIPPINES.



Whereas, under the provision of section two of Act Numbered Four thousand one hundred sixty-three, the examination requirement is not applicable to foreign physicians who, by their special training, are universally known as expert, in their line, nor to those who may be contracted by the Government; and

Whereas several applications have been received from foreign physicians to practice their profession in the Philippines;

Now, therefore, I, Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, and upon the recommendation of the Commissioner of Health and Welfare, do hereby create and constitute a committee to be composed of the Commissioner of Health and Welfare, as Chairman, and the Dean of the. College of Medicine of the University of the Philippines and the Chairman of the Board of Medical Examiners, as members. It shall be the duty of this Committee to pass upon the qualifications of foreign physicians who may desire to practice medicine by taking advantage of the provisions of section two of Act Numbered Four thousand one hundred sixty-three, and to submit its findings and recommendations to the Secretary of Public Instruction for appropriate action.

Done at the City of Manila, this sixth day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and thirty-nine, and of the Commonwealth of the Philippines, the fourth.
