[ PROCLAMATION NO. 594, April 01, 2004 ]

DECLARING MONDAY, APRIL 19, 2004, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF TARLAC



WHEREAS, Monday, April 19, 2004, marks the conversion of the Municipality of Tarlac into a City, which was signed into law by then President Fidel V. Ramos, and was ratified by the people of Tarlac thru a plebiscite;

WHEREAS, It is fitting that the people of the City of Tarlac be given full opportunity to celebrate the momentous even in the history of Tarlac, in a series of activities aimed at promoting the city’s rich culture, products and resources.

NOW, THEREFORE , I, ALBRETO G. ROMULO, Executive Secretary, by order of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Monday, April 19, 2004, as special (non-working) day in the City of Tarlac.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 1st day of April, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Four.
