[ PROCLAMATION NO. 737, November 26, 2004 ]
DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 8 TO 14, 2004 AS NATIONAL DANCE SPORT WEEK
WHEREAS, the Dance Sport Council of the Philippines, Inc. (DSCPI) is the national sport association duly accredited by the International Olympic Committee;
WHEREAS, the DSCPI in its desire to promote and further develop dance sport in the country, is staging the 2004 Southeast Asian Games Selection Competition on November 12, 2004 and the 8th DSCPI National Dance Sport Championship on November 13, 2004, both at the Multi-Purpose Arena, Philsports Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City; and
WHEREAS, the holding of these two (2) events will gather dance sport championship locally and from the different countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 8 to 14, 2004 as "National Dance Sport Week".
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
