DESIGNATION OF A NEW QUARANTINE ANCHORAGE IN MANILA HARBOR



Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7 of Republic Act No. 123, there are designated hereunder the boundaries of a new quarantine anchorage in the Manila Harbor and the rules and regulations covering the use of such anchorage are hereby promulgated for the information and guidance of all concerned:

1.       Boundaries — A new quarantine anchorage in the Manila Harbor is hereby designated, the boundaries of which are as follows: An imaginary horizontal line along Latitude parallel 14°-34' North and Longtitude 120°-56'-30" East (point of commencement) due West (270°T) until it meets the meridian when Sangley point LT bears due South (180°T) and along this line until it intersects the line bearing 075° to the seaward end of the South breakwater of the yatch Basin and along this line until it meets the line when the point of commencement bears North (000°T).

2.       Rules and Regulations

a.            All vessels subject to quarantine inspection shall drop anchor within the limits of this anchorage fly the quarantine flag and await quarantine inspection.

b.            Any vessel subject to quarantine inspection anchoring in an area in the Manila Harbor outside the quarantine anchorage may not be cleared from quarantine until such vessel proceeds within the limits of the anchorage.

c.            A vessel subject to quarantine may not be allowed to leave the quarantine anchorage until given a pratique by the Quarantine Officer.
