PETITION FOR CHANGE OF ENGINE

The Board has observed that grantees of Certificates of Public Convenience capriciously change the engines of their units without informing the Board.  To do away with such practice and pursuant to the regulatory power of the Board, it is hereby ordered, in coordination with the Land Transportation Office (LTO), that all grantees of CPC who intend to change the engine of their units shall file a Petition for Change of Engine attaching thereto the facsimiles of the following documents pertaining to the new engine:

1.    Certificate of Registration and Official Receipt
2.    Invoice of engine Purchased
3.    Certificate of Stock Report
4.    PNP Clearance with Official Receipt
5.    PNP Micro-etching Certificate
6.    Inspection Report of Motor Vehicle

Failure to file the said petition shall cause the non-confirmation of the units concerned and the same shall not be registered by the LTO without the approval of the Board.

All other issuances or parts hereof which are inconsistent herewith, are therefore modified or superseded accordingly.

This Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days following the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center, pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11, dated 09 October 1992.

So Ordered.
