WHEREAS, in the exercise of its power under P.D. 223 as amended, the Professional Regulation Commission has adopted policies and directives in the licensure examination among which are: MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 8, Series of 1992, Res. No. 265, Series of 1993, MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 93-03, Series of 1993, and MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 93-04, Series of 1993, all of which provide for the adoption of a syllabus for every subject in the licensure examinations;

WHEREAS, the Board of Electronics and Communications Engineering is mandated to adopt a syllabus for each subject in the Electronics and Communications Engineering Licensure Examination which contains the various concepts, principles, and application thereof which shall be the basis for the preparation of examination questions that will be inputted into the data bank;

WHEREAS after consultation with experts from the different associations such as the Council of Deans and Heads of Electronics and Communications Engineering Schools of the Philippines and the Philippine Institute of Electronics and Communications Engineers of the Philippines, the Board of Electronics and Communications Engineering formulated a set of syllabus for each of the subject in the Electronics and Communications Engineering Licensure Examination (See Annex “A”*)

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Sec. 13 of R.A. 5734, otherwise known as the “Electronics and Communications Engineering Law of the Philippines” the Board hereby RESOLVES, as it RESOLVED, to adopt and promulgate a syllabus for each subject in the Electronics and Communications Engineering Licensure Examination, embodied in Annex “A” appended hereto.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that this resolution, upon its approval by the Commission, shall be effective after fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation, whichever is earlier.

RESOLVED, FURTHERMORE that this resolution be disseminated to all recognized schools offering the course of electronics and communications engineering and to other concerned entities.
