(NAR) VOL. 6 NO. 2 / APRIL - JUNE 1995

[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 37, S. 1995, June 09, 1995 ]

LIFTING OF THE WAR-RISK INSURANCE REQUIREMENT FOR ISRAEL-BOUND CONTRACT WORKER

Recent advise from the Department of Foreign Affairs reveal that Israel has already concluded peace agreements with Jordan and the PLO and is also making peace overtures with Syria through informal negotiations. Further, the Middle East peace process, which is being spearheaded by Israel, is proceeding smoothly.

In view of the above, the war-risk insurance required for Israel-bound workers is hereby lifted, effective immediately.

This supersedes Memorandum Circular No. 31, Series of 1995.

For compliance.

Adopted: 09 June 1995
