SRA SUGAR ORDER NO. 12



WHEREAS, the Philippines has been granted additional U.S. quota of 31, 121 M.T. effective April 27, 1990, to be shipped during the extended 1989 quota year which will end on September 30, 1990;

WHEREAS, the present crop is still in progress and the exact amount of "A" sugar to be produced has not yet been determined;

WHEREAS, it is in the national interest that despite the additional quota, the present percentage for the U.S. export "A" sugar from the 1989-1990 crop be maintained in fairness to all producers.

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in the SRA, it is hereby ordered that:

1.       The quota shall be filled from this year's production based on the present percentage up to the end of the crop year; and any balance to be credited to the next crop year taking into consideration that all producers shall share it equitably.

2.       This Order shall take effect immediately.
