WHEREAS, Section 18, Article III of Republic Act No. 7431, known as the “The Radiologic Act of 1992”, requires the taking of the Board licensure examinations for Radiologic and X-ray Technologists;

WHEREAS, Sections 20 and 21 of the said law provide the scope of examination in X-ray Technology and Radiologic Technology, respectively;

WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to P.D. No. 223, as amended, the then charter of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), adopted and promulgated the present Resolution No. 14, Series of 1993, the syllabi for the subjects in the said examinations;

WHEREAS, in view of the changes in the practice of the professions and the curricula, the Board decided to revise the afore-mentioned Resolution;

WHEREAS, Sec. 9 (h) of R.A. No. 8981, known as the “PRC Modernization Act of 2000”, empowers the Board:” x x x to prepare, adopt, and issue syllabi or tables of specification in consultation with the academe; determine and prepare the questions which shall be strictly within the scope of the syllabus or table of specifications of the subject for examination x x x x”; and

WHEREAS, the revised syllabi were prepared and adopted by the Board in consultation with various schools, colleges, and universities offering the course of Radiologic/X-ray Technology;

NOW, THEREFORE, th e Board hereby RESOLVES, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to adopt and promulgate the Revised Syllabi of the Subjects for the Board Licensure Examinations for Radiologic Technologists/X-ray Technologists appearing in Annex “A”^[*] as integral part of this Resolution.

The herein Resolution shall be implemented in the December 2008 and subsequent schedules of the Board licensure examinations for Radiologic/X-ray Technologists.

This Resolution shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its full and complete publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Chairman, Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the deans/heads of schools, colleges, or universities, offering a course in Radiologic/X-ray Technology, and the President of the Philippine Association of Radiologic Technologists, Inc. (PART), the Accredited Professional Organization (APO) and other affiliated Radiologic and X-ray Technologists professional organization/s for dissemination to all concerned.
