(NAR) VOL. 7 NO. 4 / October-December 1996

[ PPA ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 14-95, March 03, 1995 ]

AMENDMENT TO PPA AO NO. 01-95 INCREASE IN THE AUTHORIZED NUMBER OF HARBOR PILOT POSITIONS IN ALL PILOTAGE DISTRICTS

To meet existing and future demand for pilotage services due to the continued development of ports and growth of shipping traffic, the minimum number of five (5) pilots for all pilotage districts as prescribed in Section 4 of PPA AO No. 01-95 is hereby removed. However, the maximum number of pilots as provided in said Order, that may be appointed by the Authority based on the criteria/factors to be considered when filing vacant positions in a pilotage district, shall be strictly observed and followed.

The authorized number of pilots in a pilotage district may however be increased or decreased by the General Manager of the Authority to respond to the needs of the service for that particular pilotage district.

This Order shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in any newspaper of general circulation.

Adopted: 03 Mar. 1995
