FURTHER AMENDING ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 003, SERIES OF 1981



WHEREAS, P.D. 1644 clothed the Philippine Coconut Authority with full power and authority to regulate the marketing and export of coconut products and by-products;

WHEREAS, Administrative Order No. 003, Series of 1981, as amended by Administrative Order 01, Series of 2003 prescribed the implementing rules and regulations implementing the provisions of P.D. 1644;

WHEREAS, there is a need to harmonize the period for filing PCA registration with other registrations or permit requirements of local government units.

WHEREFORE, premises considered, the PCA Governing Board hereby adopts further amendments to Administrative Order 003, Series of 1981 as follows:

SECTION 1. Amendments. Sections 3.6 and 3.7 of Administrative Order 003, Series of 1981 are hereby amended to read:

"Section 3.6. Validity of Certificate. A Certificate of Registration shall be valid only up to 15 January of the calendar year immediately following approval and issuance of the previous Certificate of Registration.

"Section 3.7. Renewal of Certificate. A Certificate of Registration may be renewed by filing an application for renewal with the Authority not later than 15 January of each calendar year after the initial registration, and payment of the corresponding fees prescribed under Administrative Order No. 01, Series of 2003. Applications for renewal filed after 15 January shall be subject to the surcharge prescribed under Administrative Order No. 01, Series of 2003."

SECTION 2. Repealing Clause. All provisions of existing rules and regulations, orders and circulars inconsistent with this Order are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

SECTION 3. Effectivity. These amended Rules and Regulations shall take effect after fifteen (15) days from date of publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
