(NAR) VOL. 10 NO. 3 / JULY - SEPTEMBER 1999

[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 99-012, June 28, 1999 ]

TAXI COLOR

Upon review of the Board’s policy for taxi units, the Board noted the need to have a common color for all vehicles registered as "Taxis or Mega Taxis" for better control and identification.

Accordingly, effective January 1, 2000, all taxi and mega taxi units shall be color WHITE. All units subject for extension of validity, sale and transfer dropping and substitution and new application as of said date must conform with the above color. Taxi or Mega taxi units with subsisting franchises, however as of January 1, 2000, may still be allowed to retain their current colors. Big fleets (50 units and above) owned by a single operator may, likewise, retain their original color so long as there is only one color duly approved by the Board.

All issuances, or parts thereof, inconsistent herewith are hereby modified accordingly, superseded/revoked.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect on January 1, 2000 after the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the U.P. Law Center, pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11 dated October 9, 1992.
