SECTION 1. Sections 1.2 and 2.12 of Administrative Order No. 60, series of 1956, otherwise known as Civil Air Regulations Part I, governing LICENSING OF AIRMEN is hereby amended as follows:

1.2 GENERAL RULES CONCERNING LICENSES

12.5.1.1. Circumstances in which medical examination may be defered - If because of duty in a regions distant from official examination centers, deferment of the medical re-examination of a flight crew member has to be made, such deferment shall only be made an exception and shall not exceed:

a. a single period of six months in the case of a flight crew member of an aircraft engaged in private operations; or

b. Two consecutive periods each of three months in the case of a flight crew member of an aircraft engaged in commercial operations whose age is below 60 years; or

c. a single period of one month in the case of a flight crew member of an aircraft engaged in commercial operations whose age is 60 years and over, provided that the person concerned obtains locally, in each instance, a favorable medical certificate after examination by a qualified physician carrying out public medical functions in that region; or experienced in examination of aviation personnel or, if such is not available, by a physician legally qualified to practice.

1.2.5.2 Where the holder is sixty years of age or over, the twelve months and six months validity specified for commercial and airline transport pilot license, respectively, remains the same; however, they are required to undergo first class medical examination every three months.

2.12 FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR LICENSE

2.12.2 Age - An applicant for a flight instructor license shall be at least 21 years of age.

2.12.3 Education - Applicant shall be at least a holder of a bachelors degree and should be able to speak the English language without any impediment of speech.

2.12.6 Experience - Applicant shall be at least a commercial pilot with an aircraft rating appropriate to the flight instructor rating sought; an instrument rating, if he is applying for an airplane or an instrument instructor rating; and at least 500 hours as pilot-in command.

SECTION 2. This Administrative Order shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or newspaper of general circulation.
