The Board has set a deadline for application/petition for conversion of Garage Terminal Express up to and until June 30, 2007. It has been noticed that not a single petition has been filed for conversion in Region 7.

In the interest of public service and in order to allow qualified applicants to apply for conversion to GT service, there is need to extend the deadline for the acceptance of applicants/petitions up to June 30, 2008 in Region 7 only.

Failure of the qualified applicants to apply for conversion on the deadline set shall be construed as lack of interest on their part to pursue the application and proof of financial incapacity. The Certificate of Public Convenience of the operator shall only be valid and subsisting up to the expiration of its validity and the slot shall be allotted to new applicants who are willing and ready to avail of the UV Legalization under the Comprehensive GT Express Program.

All issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby superseded and amended accordingly.

This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.
