WHEREAS, there is a need to amend Sugar Order No. 6, Series of 1996-1997, dated 14 November 1996, concerning the filling up of the Third Quarter U.S. Sugar Quota for Quota Year 1996-1997.

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration, it is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1. Section 5 of the abovementioned Sugar Order No. 6, Series of 1996-1997, dated 14 November 1996, is hereby amended to read as follows:

“Section 5. The deadline for the submission of applications for export to the U.S. market for the Third Quarter shipment shall be not later than 28 February 1997 unless earlier filled-up.”

SECTION 2. This Order shall take effect immediately.

SECTION 3. All other provisions of Sugar Order No. 6, Series of 1996-1997, dated 14 November 1996, shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 4. Provisions of Sugar Orders, Circular Letters, rules and regulations inconsistent with or contrary to this Sugar Order are hereby revoked, amended or modified accordingly.
