RESTRICTIVE APPLICATION OF TRACK RECORD OF CASES IN ESTABLISHMENT OF BRANCH OFFICES

Rule II Part II provides that “A licensed recruitment agency may request for an authority to establish a branch specifying the location, area and personnel. In case of a corporation, a board resolution authorizing the establishment of a branch shall be submitted. The request shall be subject to evaluation taking into account the track record of the agency and the number of job orders.

In line with the continuing thrust to ensure the protection and welfare of our overseas Filipino workers, particularly on the deployment of household service workers, the evaluation of applications for the issuance of branch authority of licensed landbased agencies shall strictly take into consideration the track record of the said agencies, particularly its pending recruitment violation cases.

Applications for establishment of branches which were processed and have fully complied with documentary requirements, including inspection/assessment, prior to this directive shall be subjected to a more thorough review of its recruitment violation cases before approval of the Administration.
