(NAR) VOL. 9 NO.1/ JANUARY - MARCH 1998

[ BOC MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 26-95B, March 25, 1998 ]

APPLICABLE ARRASTRE CHARGES FOR ASSESSMENT PURPOSES




To account for increases in port charges, the arrastre charges to be observed in the Automated Customs Operations System (ACOS) for Customs assessment purposes shall be:
a)    P 7.80 per metric ton for shipside cargo
b)    P 100.00 per metric ton for pierside cargo or declared charge if higher.
This order shall take effect on Wednesday, April 8, 1998.

TO NOTE:

All cargo types equated on a per metric ton basis

Current Customs rate applicable to all types of pierside cargo = P 92.00 per metric ton

Recommended increase equate to increase for Containerized cargo – ie 8.8%

Therefore recommended increase is from P 92.00 per metric ton to P 100.00 per metric ton

Arrastre Charges for Shipside cargo were increased effective 1 January 1998 from P 6.50 per Metric ton to P 7.80 metric ton. It is recommended that this rate be increased accordingly in ACOS

Therefore Arrastre Charges for Shipside cargo as set in ACOS will be P 7.80 per metric ton Arrastre charges for Pierside cargo as set in ACOS will be P 100.00 per metric ton
