[ DOH QUARANTINE ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 22, March 09, 1956 ]

DESIGNATION OF QUARANTINE ANCHORAGE FOR THE PORT OF TACLOBAN



Pursuant to the provisions of Section 79(B) of the Revised Administrative Code and Section 7 of Republic Act No. 123, there are designated hereunder the boundaries of quarantine anchorage for the Port of Tacloban and the rules and regulations covering the use of such anchorage are hereby promulgated for the information and guidance of all concerned:

1.       Boundaries — Beginning at approximate position latitude 11°15' 42" N., longitude 125°00'11" E. with Tacloban Light bearing 175°00', distant 1040 yards; thence on a range of 022°00' (face of Tacloban wharf in range with east tangent Binatac Point), 590 yards to approximate position latitude 11°15'58"N., longitude 125°00'17"E., thence on a range of 090°00' (north tangent Bacalan Island In range with barrio Godela, Jinamoc Island), 88 yards to approximate position latitude 11°15'58"N., longitude 125°00'43"E., thence on a range of 152°oo' (Mt. Danglay In range with northeast tangent Cataisan Point), 670 yards to approximate position latitude 11°15'40"N., longitude 125°00'53"E., thence on a range of 272°00' ( Jinamoc Island Light in range with north tangent Anibong Point), 1420 yards to the point of commencement.

2.       Rules and Regulations

a.            All vessels subject to quarantine inspection shall drop anchor within the limits of this anchorage and await quarantine inspection.

b.            Any vessel subject to quarantine inspection anchoring in an area in the Port of Tacloban outside the quarantine anchorage may not be cleared from quarantine until such vessel proceed within the limits of anchorage.

c.            A vessel subject to quarantine measures may not be allowed to leave the quarantine anchorage until given a free pratique by the quarantine officer.
