GUIDELINES ON AUTHORITY TO COLLECT VISA IN CONNECTION WITH DEPLOYMENT TO KSA



In order to ensure that all job orders approved by this Administration for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (K.S.A.) are utilized fully for the deployment of workers, all requests for accreditation of foreign principals and approval of job orders shall be accompanied by the authority to collect visa duly stamped or authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and/or the Chamber of Commerce of K.S.A. or the original visa certificate issued by the Embassy of Saudi Arabia as it is being currently implemented.

In pursuance of this policy, the following implementing guidelines and procedures are hereby issued:

1. The authority to collect visa shall be required only in the absence of the original visa certification issued by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia.

2. Provisional accreditation of principals may be granted on the basis of the authority to collect visa, in addition to substantial compliance with the other requirements for accreditation.

3. For requests for additional job orders, the original visa certification shall be submitted to the Land-Based Accreditation Division within thirty (30) days from submission of the request.  This shall be undertaken in an affidavit.

4. Requests for direct hire processing may be granted on the basis of the original authority to collect visa which if officially translated into English.

This order shall take effect on January 30, 1987.
